The TAMARA dress is a classic that has a little more than meets the eye: a beautiful long wrap dress that slims and flatters the figure with each step, a neckline precisely balanced to reveal just the right amount of femininity, and above all the sublime open sleeves, the detail that has character! Welcome to the latest addition to the SEW ME ARTY collection, a nod to the elegant and intriguing paintings by Tamara de Lempicka.
Sewing Level: Intermediate, technical points are pockets, darts/pleats on bust and skirt, and split sleeves.
SEWING MARGINS ARE INCLUDED (1 CM).
Supplies:
- For a fabric width of 140 cm:
2m 90 of fabric from 34 to 42
4m 10 of fabric from 44 to 56: 2m 50 of fabric per fold and 1m 60 of open width fabric (for piece 3, cut twice)
- 4 buttons for the buttoned version
- If you want to stabilize the neckline, a small press stud
- Iron-on interfacing for the facing
Fabric: Favor light and flexible fabrics: viscose (crepe or twill), light cotton, silk, tencel... Also be careful, the back of the fabric will be visible from the opening of the sleeves.
