Love is in the air… it’s time to get light and cosy with our sewing!
To celebrate love, and above all to get you feeling beautiful in your hand-sewn creations even in bed, we have a brand new PDF sewing pattern from Maison Fauve just for you: the Songe pajama shorts.
I had been wanting to explore and expand the essentials in the Femme Fauve wardrobe with small, more intimate pieces that can take you from day to night. And with that we welcome Songe to our collection, and it is the perfect accompaniment to our Blush camisole/underdress pattern making an adorable night set.
We are in cozy mode with this new pattern. As Songe doesn’t take up a lot of fabric we’ve sewn them in different offcuts we had lying around the studio ideal for making these adorable shorts. Also, the choice of fabrics allows, as always with sewing, to modify your shorts to what’s best for you.
The elegance of white
Our Rose Satin fabric is an off-white cupro jacquard with a delicate floral pattern. Combined with the Blush camisole and Songe shorts the duo gives a certain lingerie feel, delicate and chic for lounging.

An ink blue for velvety nights
In Léo Encre viscose jacquard, Songe is extremely charming. This fabric is very soft, and the tone-on-tone satin leopard pattern gently enhances the look.

A fresh print
There is no question that Songe and Blush are sewing patterns designed for special times. But a night set with a lively print can be worn every day. You can play with colors, patterns, and have fun mixing and matching the pieces.

Mixing patterns and prints is also a lovely idea: Songe shorts in Léo viscose twill or Twist Very vert (out of stock) will go wonderfully with a Blush camisole in white tencel or in plain Very Vert twill (out of stock).
Songe PDF pattern details
The cut is perfect, not too short (you can't see the birth of the buttocks) nor too long (to help keep the lingerie spirit of the pattern). The waistband has elastic along the back and sides for maximum comfort, while the front waistband is flat for a more harmonious fit that does not accentuate the belly. The Italian pockets are optional, but they do enhance the design of the shorts. We detail how to change your pattern depending on whether you want to sew them with or without pockets.
The Songe pattern is available in A0, A4, A3 and US letter format. The files have layers to choose the exact size you want to print. You can get the instructions here in our PDF user guide.
The pattern grades from UK size 6 (34) to 28 (56). The product sheet is available in the Songe brochure along with the size guide, measurements of the finished garment, list of supplies and recommended fabric.
A video tutorial is available free of charge to guide you through the steps of making Songe.
