Jasmin Dress, the tutorial video!

Bonjour!

I am delighted to drop by to say hello and to introduce you to this nugget sewn just before leaving on vacation, my midnight blue floral Jasmin dress

When I received this pretty floral double gauze fabric from the Coupons de Saint Pierre, I thought to myself, it would have been so perfect with its beautiful patterns and its deep blue for the Ballets Russes collection. And then I thought: "Why not reinterpret old patterns with this beautiful theme?"

We are slowly going through the previous collections in order to update our video tutorials section, and the beautiful Jasmin dress was missing. The occasion was perfect: a great fabric perfect for the theme of our latest collection + a great pattern that deserves its own video... tadammm the tutorial is online ;)

The particularities of the pattern is the play of the V neckline in the front and back. The work of the bust of the dress with a bustier-style cutout adjusts the model and allows the dress to be held on the shoulders. Jasmin's fitted upper body is counterbalanced by a tulip skirt, with large pleats in the front and back, to contrast the volume between the top and the bottom of the body, and the waist is raised to increase this tulip effect.

The Jasmin dress can be put on without a zip if your shoulders are not too wide, but the addition of the zip is provided for on the pattern and detailed in the brochure. For the installing a zip on video, you can find this step in the video dedicated to this technical point in our "Sewing secrets" section (link HERE)

This is a very accessible and quick sew pattern, with a really cute result. And you can completely contrast the top of the garment to further accentuate the strapless aesthetic of the pattern. A bi-material version is presented on the pattern's product sheet.

The pattern is available from sizes 34 to 46, in A4 A0 and US Letter pdf format (click HERE)

OK, time for the video!
