A beautiful long dress, light, that falls to the calves, so sensible at the front with its flat pleats on the skirt and a sensible neckline and yet the back... a wonderful low neckline provided by a perfectly made wrap! But Leaf can also be a charming little top, a neckline just right with a buttoned back, and as always it’s delicate front marked with a small slit (or not!) and small sleeves turned back for a relaxed look without even meaning to.

Sewing level: Intermediate, the technical points are the seams of the pleats and darts, and the assembly of the facings on the busts.

Supplies

From UK Size 6 to 18 (34 to 46):
- For the dress: 2m90 of mid-calf length fabric, 2m60 for the knee length
- For the top version: 1m20 of fabric for a fabric width of 140 cm
- 5 buttons from 10 to 12 mm for the back of the top
- Iron-on seam tape to reinforce the facing and prevent the opening of the back wrap which is in the direction of the bias
- To close the neckline in front you can use a clasp, a ribbon, or a small button covered with a strap

From 20 to 28 (48-56):
- Dress version: 3m30 of fabric
- For the top: the quantity of fabric needed is 2m10 for a fabric width of 150 cm
- For the wrap tunic version: 2m40 of fabric (the cutting mark is indicated on the skirt piece of your pattern)
- 5 buttons from 10 to 12 mm for the back of the top
- Iron-on seam tape to reinforce the facing and prevent the opening of your back wrap bust which is in the direction of the bias when relaxed

Choice of fabrics: Viscose, cotton, satin, crepe, lace and you can contrast your facings because to make an interesting feature on the turn back of your sleeve cuffs, have fun!
