Blue Bonnie, also the most fabulous cape dress!
Event season has begun, and the idea of sewing a wonderful dress is running through your head? I invite you to (re)discover a sewing pattern as elegant as it is easy to sew: the Bonnie cape dress.
This pattern is not new at Maison Fauve, it's been I think 6 years that the beautiful Bonnie has been part of the collections. But during the Instagram video where I showed you the dress patterns available at Maison Fauve, I showed it to you again, and you like it a lot. It must be said that it is a deceptively simple cut, its very pretty back, and of course its cape whose design is really thought to follow the movements while easily freeing the arms has a lot of charm.
Bonnie is not lacking in assets: a perfect back neckline (which can be worn without worry with a bra), a refined trapeze shape that is enhanced by the magnificent cape. Ultra comfortable, it slips on in the blink of an eye. And believe me everyone will be blown away to learn that it was you who sewed this marvel. In Cobalt Blue viscose twill, it is simply irresistible. The fall of the fabric is just ideal for this model, and above all it sews easily and irons well, which will make it easier to create an impeccable hem on the bottom of the cape. And if blue isn't your color of choice, our gorgeous twill comes in a whole range of vibrant colours.
To help you make the Bonnie dress, we have a brand new video tutorial, which covers each sewing step in order to make this pattern accessible to all sewers, including beginners. I also took the opportunity to revamp the assembly booklet offered with your PDF sewing pattern. The Bonnie dress is available in A4, A0, video projection and the file has layers to select your size only. The updated brochure is automatically available in Bonnie's downloadable files if you already have the PDF pattern.
If you want ideas on how to accessorise your beautiful outfit, find the Bonnie dress in our review of hand-sewn wedding guest outfits.
An easy sewing pattern, a dress with a strong character, and a timely video tutorial... It's up to you to give Bonnie on go!
