The Cuba Libre Dress!

Do you think your summer wardrobe was missing another dress fit for dancing that also allows your beautiful prints to express themselves? If you know us, you know we had to create one… Discover the beautiful Cuba Libre!

My inspirations

the cuba libre dress sewing pattern

The story behind Fauve Romance is an elegant city girl who goes on a trip to the seaside, the Empire State of Fauve woman who escapes to Miami (I tell you about my inspirations in this episode of the podcast).

I wanted to expand our collection with a dress that embodies freedom, movement. A beautiful long, and graceful dress. A model as beautiful worn with spectacular heels as it is flat with gladiator sandals.

What about this new sewing pattern

The Cuba Libre pattern embodies this look that is both feminine and unfettered. Its line is long and light, the waist supported in the back by an elastic band, the front bust is released by a beautiful V-neckline and its butterfly sleeves accentuate its airy look: Cuba Libre is a dress made for dancing!

This new dress literally raises the temperature of our Fauve Romance. Its line is long and light, the waist supported in the back by an elastic waistband, the front bust is highlighted with a beautiful V-neckline and its butterfly sleeves accentuate its airy look: Cuba Libre is a dress made for dancing!

The pattern is available in 2 versions, for all occasions:

  • Closed back version, easy to wear and wear
  • Large open back version, for the most fiery of summer dresses

What fabric should I sew my long dress with?

You can sew it in a number of fabrics: soft twills, poplins, voile, a fine jacquard or even a beautiful lace with a cotton voile as lining: we detail how to line the skirt and the front bust of your dress in your patterns illustrated brochure.
