Sewing pattern tutorial: the Daïquiri dress

It is not necessarily necessary to have very complicated sewing techniques to obtain a garment that looks wow!

The Daïquiri sewing pattern is a quick, easy sewing pattern that will stand out among thousands thanks to its pretty scallop edge cutouts. Its rounded neckline is very feminine, its trapeze line makes it an adorable little summer dress, and the rounded shapes highlighted by the construction of the inverted French seam panels make it look like a delicate shell.

You can sew Daïquiri with beautiful shell lace (like a nod to the little mermaid inside you), in beautiful bright viscose twill, in soft and easy-to-sew printed poplin, in light Lily viscose jacquard, or in our very beautiful viscose voiles.

The technical points that are described in this free video sewing tutorial are to:

  • Sew chest darts

  • Make reverse French seams: the seam allowance will be visible on the right side, and classic French seams

  • Place a folded bias at the neckline

  • Finish rounded armholes using a facing.

Happy sewing!
