Ready to experience a Fauve Romance? The new collection is online!

When I worked on this summer's collection, I wanted elegance, I wanted softness, I wanted a slightly vintage touch, I wanted to see the sea... I created my Fauve Romance!

For this season I decided to summon the muses of my past collections into a softer universe. The Fauve Romance wardrobe will accompany the city girl from the “Empire State of Fauve” collection on vacation in Miami, she will transport the Hitchcockian heroine from “In the mood for Fauve” to a seaside motel.

This time, we move away from film noir or the frantic pace of the city to dive with delight into a sorbet-flavored world. We follow the path of the sun, and the colors of a summer sky. The legs are bared, the body is delicately revealed by the curve of the neckline, a scooped shoulder line and the transparency of lace.

The new patterns of the collection

I created a dynamic look, with precise lines, research around volumes and cuts. The proportions are designed, for a less strict silhouette, a less fitted cut. I want ease, comfort, flexibility. I worked around the idea of a cruise wardrobe, to be available in numerous fabrics in order to be able to give each piece the look that suits you.

The Fauve Romance collection can be worn just as easily in town as on vacation, and that was really the idea I wanted to convey with this collection: summer pieces that won't have said their last word at the end of summer.

All patterns as always have a step-by-step video, available in the “Tutorials” section of our site as well as on our Youtube channel!

The MIMOSA jacket

The MIMOSA jacket is the highlight of the Fauve Romance collection. Its straight cut is constructed with 2-part sleeves, a small side, a fake welted chest pocket and very large rounded patch pockets with a design reminiscent of a shawl collar and softens the slightly boyish look of this jacket with its reworked volume and prominent shoulders.

The COSMOPOLITAN playsuit and dress

Elegant, comfortable, feminine, with a set of cutouts and pleats that ensure a perfect fit and a precise line, the COSMOPOLITAN playsuit/dress will be the key asset of your wardrobe. Its V neckline at the front and back and its hidden pockets modernise the look. The garment has an invisible zip in the back, and the bust is fully lined for an impeccable finish. COSMOPOLITAN is also available in an easy-to-wear high V neckline version, or in a deep neckline version to wear bare or layered with all your little tops!

The SPRITZ tank top duo

The SPRITZ tank top duo will be the go with everything asset of your wardrobe. The pattern has 2 pieces:

  • A first tank top to wear on top, embellished with a Tunisian tab (which is also an option), deep and low cut on the neckline and armholes, for a supple and nonchalant look.

  • A second tank top to wear underneath, with a classic, straight cut and a scooped armhole and neckline suitable for wearing a bra.

Each top has perfect finishes thanks to the installation of a bias at the armhole and the neckline, and a French seam assembly.

You can combine them, by sliding the second under the first, or wear them separately. The low-cut tank top will be splendid over a swimsuit, a bra, pretty lingerie that you want to reveal or alone for the most daring, while the second will be the perfect basic to wear every day.

The BELLINI shirt and blouse

The blouse that goes with everything, easy to sew and beautifully finished!

The BELLINI sewing pattern will be the essential top in your wardrobe. Its line is supple and straight, with a play of pleats which embellish the shoulders and back. Available in a button-down version and a blouse version, long sleeve or sleeveless, it’s designed to meet your seasons needs and desires.

The DAÏQUIRI blouse and dress

Trapeze cut with a rounded neckline, DAÏQUIRI will be the perfect little dress to wear for an elegant summer look. The shoulders and back highlighted by the interplay of French seams and scallop edge cutouts are the signature of this pretty pattern, which is also available as a blouse. Everything is thought of for an impeccable hand sewn creation down to the smallest detail: the assembly is with French seams, the armhole finishes are with a facing and the neckline finish is done with your choice of facing or bias.

As original as it is easy to wear, we never tire of wearing DAÏQUIRI!

Our partners for this shooting

A shoot is above all teamwork, weeks of preparation, and people who are all invested in bringing my vision to each collection.

You know how much I care about taking our photos in truly magnificent places (I actually filmed a podcast episode on this subject).

We are lucky to have our studio in the south of France, close to the sea. To showcase this collection, I found the ideal setting, the Saint Clair hotel in La Grande Motte. Nestled in the heart of the pyramids of the Saint Clair complex, it is built using an architectural technique typical of the 50s and 60s on the West Coast of the United States, a “motel” inspiration which opens onto the seaside... Everything I dreamed of for our shoot!

And to adorn the models, I collaborated again with the magnificent jewellery brand Christelle dit Christensen. Christelle has created a brand new line of jewellery for the summer whose shellfish and seashells inspirations are totally in line with that of the Fauve Romance collection, it was obvious! I love the universe of this brand, the delicacy of the creations, the embroidery that mixes with the shine of the metal. Brooches and earrings are in the spotlight in our photos.

I would also like to thank Charlène Pélut, who captures my creations in a unique and wonderful way for each collection, Amélie Corneille who took superb studio photos of our fabrics and buttons, Téva Quesada the make-up magician and Nicolas Astruc for his perfect hairstyles. And a huge congratulations to our models Vanina, Amanda and Christine, who are the faces of this collection and join me to embody the multiple identities of the Femme Fauve

I wish you a wonderful time discovering Fauve Romance!
