The Diabolo Fauve capsule collection is online!
The Fauve Romance continues in a joyful and naive atmosphere, with a stopover in an acidic universe: the Diabolo Fauve capsule is all about colours and materials!
Our new fabric collection takes its range of pastel colours from the carefree days of the 60s: Mint, Lemon Yellow and Soft Pink, brought to life by Sulphur Yellow and Ultra Orange.
With a new sewing box, exclusive prints, the arrival of the softest of jacquards, a new colour for our 100% cotton gabardine, and a new fabric never before seen at Maison Fauve, we’re delighted to present the Diablo Fauve capsule collection!
The Malibu sewing box
A new Maison Fauve sewing box and we mark the arrival with a new sewing pattern and new fabrics.
The Malibu polo shirt
The sporty-chic mood of Fauve Romance couldn’t do without a pretty summer polo shirt: with its reworked volume (dropped shoulder line, straight and slightly shorter cut), the Malibu polo shirt borrows the studied nonchalance of the elegant ladies of the Roaring Twenties who met up at the club house to hit a few tennis balls and sip a Martini. Its collar and polo placket are just the right proportions, and you can wear Malibu buttoned or half-open. Available with elbow-length sleeves or sleeveless, it will fit any style whim you want depending on your choice of fabric.

Berlingot poly viscose voile
Berlingot striped poly viscose voile fabrics
This new 83% viscose and 17% polyamide fabric, made in France, is very pleasant to sew and to wear: light, perfect for summer, it is slightly transparent but it won’t be a problem when sewing tops, blouses, shirts... And the most adorable polo shirt! Its surface is very lightly textured, almost as if it is embossed. Its broad, acidic stripes come in Romance Pink, Mint Green, Fizz Yellow and Ink Blue.

My sewing box
The Malibu sewing box, 4 colors
In your sewing kit, you’ll find the Malibu paper pattern, the Berlingot fabric in the colour of your choice and the white cotton voile, 3 pretty off-white matte Wink buttons and all the haberdashery (iron-on interfacing, thread, Microtex needle set) you need to sew your pretty polo shirt. And, of course, we’ve got a free step-by-step video guide to help you sew your garment.
The Solaris print
My inspirations for the designs in this collection were drawn from abstract art, and more specifically gradient art, which plays on blurring and colour. Blending Rothko’s canvases with the tones of Georgia O Keefe’s paintings, our Solaris print comes in 3 colours:
-
Pastel: a range of very soft tones, like an impressionist sky
-
Confetti: this print gives me the impression of looking at a field of wild flowers in living colours while blinking my eyes
-
Ultra Orange: we play on the solarisation of colours, here the tones are intense, the orange burns and the turquoise green touches add relief
Our prints are made in Portugal, printed on a soft viscose poplin. They’re perfect for sewing tops, blouses and pretty dresses.

Pastel jacquard
I’m crazy about our new jacquard: it’s so soft, easy to sew, woven in France and stunningly beautiful with its big abstract flowers in barba papa colours. I’ve used it on my Métropolis jacket (another favourite....) and Julie is wearing the Cosmopolitan playsuit sewn in this beautiful fabric.

Lyocell lamé fabrics
This fabric is THE new addition to the Diabolo Fauve capsule: a twill fabric with a moire finish and tone-on-tone lamé. A medium-weight fabric, I had fun using it to make a cute little Dandelion jacket and Grand Bain shorts, but it can also be used to sew blouses, tops and even light trousers like the Belem sewing pattern.
It is available (for the moment ;) ) in Mint Green and Sulphur Yellow.

Greige cotton gabardine
After the dazzle of Sulphur Yellow and the softness of Smoky Blue, 100% cotton gabardine is back in Grège: a cool, elegant sandy tone for timeless sewing.
Perfect for sewing jackets, shorts, trousers or jeans, I’m showing you this new colour here with the pattern for the Hussard trousers and I’ve got a future Tigris trench coat in the pipeline that I can’t wait to show you!
