An iconic collection
Empire State of Fauve is a collection that you really liked when it came out. We received a lot of messages to tell us that you loved the idea of a wardrobe that can be used in both an “office” and “evening” setting, beautiful timeless pieces (highly desirable ;)).
Each season, I work to design the collections so that each pattern combines well with our previous collections, and that we can therefore “navigate” the collection themes according to our wishes: a wardrobe staple jacket, a Parisian chic short jacket, a beautiful trouser pattern, a shirt with perfect details, a well thought out blouse, a devilishly feminine wrap dress which also comes as a blouse... All these patterns offer a perfect playground. I imagined an urban woman, who likes elegant, comfortable clothes, and a wardrobe that has the essentials with a note of originality, a singularity which marks the Maison Fauve silhouette.
Obviously, the choice of fabric will be essential to the style of your hand-sewn projects: a blouse will not have the same look in brightly colored viscose or delicate lace, a leopard jacket will not say the same thing as a British inspired jacket in navy Tartan … Let us make fabric suggestions for each pattern in the Empire State of Fauve collection.
One suit can hide another...
The Manhattan jacket and the Brooklyn trousers are an obvious pairing. To reveal the potential of this outfit, I offer you 2 fabrics that are the opposites of style, but just as attractive:
-
A strict/chic look in our tartan wool
-
A glam’ rock look in Fauve Party leopard jacquard

An easy-to-wear blouse
The beautiful Chelsea blouse is characterised by its pleat work, which looks even better in a plain fabric. For this little wonder, you have the choice between:
-
A graphic look thanks to our range of viscose twills in full, vibrant colors
A neo-romantic look in our beautiful lace: in red, green, black or ecru, our Botanica lace has no equal to bring a precious and sophisticated note to your creations
-
The purity of our ecru tencel, luminous and which is an essential.

A shirt that plays with classicism
The Skyline shirt has a perfect cut, beautiful proportions, and above all the little details, dear to my heart: beautiful stitched pleats, and an cut-out back option. For Skyline, opt for soft fabrics, which mark well with an iron, and are light for a supple look:
-
A beautiful printed poplin that subtly reveals the pleats
-
A vaporous cotton voile, for a bohemian Skyline (plain colors are sure to be a success with Skyline!)
-
A magnificent jacquard, like our beautiful Lily, in white or black, to add a sophisticated touch to your hand-sewn shirt

The most couture of little jackets
The Métropolis jacket is one of my essentials, I love its slightly shortened length, its cut, its bands which embellish the bust and play on the volume, and you will surely notice the strong nod to couture icons: a jacket without a collar, with a double-breasted front opening… I think you understand, I'm crazy about it ;)
And there is nothing more versatile than Métropolis:-
For a sober and elegant jacket, choose our Tartan wool whose weight and drape will be perfect
-
For an original little jacket to wear every day, discover the Loop jacquard and the Botanica jacquard in Encre (Ink blue) version
-
Want a spring jacket, go for our bright corail Loop jacquard, or our ecru Botanica jacquard delicately embellished with floral metallic patterns
-
And for a show stopper version: again, nothing like our beautiful Fauve Party jacquard

The essential wrap dress pattern
In a Soho dress, you feel beautiful! Its cut is nicely fitted with pleats and a belt which does not cut into the waist. The open button cuff is the kind of detail that isn't obvious but adds to the discreet charm of the elegant Soho. In addition, it will suit you for summer and winter thanks to our free sewing hack which makes Soho into a sleeveless version. In a blouse or dress, you must use soft fabrics:
-
Our viscose jacquards Lily, or Léo, with beautiful drape and satin patterns
-
Our plain bright twills, for an unforgettable dress
-
Our printed poplins, all light and whose patterns will dance to the rhythm of your steps
